Healing in Harmony: How Connection Supports TSW Recovery and Emotional Wellbeing

Healing in Harmony began as a small seed of an idea, one that grew from my own experiences of meeting others in the TSW community. Every time I attended a meetup, I walked away feeling lighter. Being surrounded by people who truly understood what it felt like to live in this skin made me feel safe, seen, and part of something so much bigger than myself.
But I also noticed something missing. There were plenty of opportunities to gather and socialise, yet few spaces designed to support our emotional and mental healing, the side of this journey that so often gets overlooked. I realised how deeply these moments of connection were helping me heal from the inside out, and I wanted to create something that allowed others to experience that too.
As a mindset and embodiment coach, I know that true healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when we tend to the whole of who we are; mind, body, and heart. It’s about creating harmony within ourselves while feeling held in community. That’s the spirit that guided this event from the very beginning.
When I first started shaping the idea, I didn’t yet have a name for it. I simply knew I wanted to bring people together in a space that felt nurturing, safe, and hopeful. A space where every element, from movement to journaling to rest, worked together in harmony. When Amy later suggested the name Healing in Harmony, it just clicked. It was everything the event stood for: healing with others and healing within ourselves.

Still, I knew I couldn’t bring this vision to life alone. I wanted to build it alongside people who deeply understood this mission. People whose warmth, compassion, and dedication to this community matched the energy I wanted the day to hold. That’s when I reached out to Amy, Jen, and Katie.
Amy, Jen, and myself have lived through Topical Steroid Withdrawal and know firsthand the physical, mental, and emotional toll it takes. That shared experience means we don’t just understand this journey intellectually; we’ve felt it in our bones.

Amy’s gentle strength and her background in yoga and Pilates made her the perfect person to bring the body piece of the day to life. She understands the fear and hesitation that can come with moving a body that has been in survival mode for so long. Her session is designed to feel grounding and safe, helping attendees reconnect with themselves physically in a way that restores trust and calm.

Jen, with her background in hypnotherapy and her own TSW journey, brings the mind piece. She has such an intuitive, nurturing energy, a blend of science and soul, and she’s been a guiding light in helping skin warriors find emotional balance. Her session will help participants quiet the mental noise and reconnect with a sense of inner safety.

And I bring the heart piece, holding space for reflection, emotional release, and connection through journaling and a sharing circle. This is where we come together to honour our stories and feel the healing power of being witnessed by others who truly understand.

Katie, who has been such a powerhouse in the skin community for years, plays an integral role as our voice, helping us spread awareness, reach new audiences, and make sure this event finds the people who need it most. Her creativity, openness, and tireless advocacy have made her a cornerstone of the eczema and TSW communities.
Together, the four of us have poured our hearts into this event. Every decision, from the flow of the day to the smallest, most thoughtful details, has been made with one shared intention: to help people find harmony.
Harmony in their bodies. Harmony in their minds. Harmony in their hearts.
And harmony within a community that reminds them they’re not alone.
Healing in Harmony isn’t just an event, it’s a reminder that you don’t have to walk this path alone. Whether you’re in the thick of your healing or slowly finding your way back to yourself, there’s something powerful about being in a room full of people who simply get it.
It’s a space to exhale.
To soften your edges.
To feel held, by others and by yourself.
On this day, we’ll move gently, breathe, and rest together. We’ll journal, reflect, and connect. We’ll rebuild a sense of safety in our bodies, peace in our minds, and compassion in our hearts. And we’ll do it all in harmony, with each other, and within ourselves.
If you’ve been craving a day that nourishes you on every level, I’d love for you to join us.
